About Us
It all started in 1880, two landowners, Lucian Garcia Terra and Domingo Machado lived and were the first families that farmed on the gorgeous, fruitful property known today as San Luis Ranch
By 1890, the property had grown from farmland to the 16th District Agricultural Association’s Fairgrounds, which featured everything from prize-winning produce to livestock and horse racing. In 1893 the site was the home to State Fair which included a mile long racetrack.

The Dalidio family occupied the original farmhouse built by the Woods family in the late 1890s.
The farmhouse has been fully restored and is still located on the property today as Little Sprouts Preschool.

Gary Grossman and the Grossman family purchased the property in 2014 with the intention of restoring it to its former glory. SLO Ranch Farms & Marketplace truly exemplifies the root of Farm to Table today, honoring agricultural history while reviving the vitality.

SLO Ranch has grown into a 100% local small business marketplace, featuring unique and amazing food, artisan shopping, and interactive farming. A true farm-to-table experience!
